DESTINATARIO SCONOSCIUTO Kressman Taylor’s Address Unknown (1938) is a novel written as a series of letters between a Jewish art dealer, living in San Francisco, and his business partner, who had returned to Germany in 1932 and adopted gradually the Nazism ideology. The novel is credited with exposing, early on, the dangers of Nazism to the American public. The text was chosen for the reading because of its great originality, and because it succeeds to fuse, with great effectiveness, suspense and emotional involvement. It remains, to this day, a deeply profound work on the essense of nazism and the dangers of passivity in the face of evil.
