WALKING TOUR: Castel Sant'Angelo and surroundings

you can just look at Rome or.. Explore it!

On Sunday we're going to visit Castel Sant'Angelo, the towering cylindrical building used as roman emperors tomb, later by the popes as a military fortress and a prison, now... as a museum. Legend holds that the Archangel Michael appeared atop the mausoleum, sheathing his sword as a sign of the end of the plague of 590, thus lending the castle its present name.
