IL POSTINO: THE POSTMAN. Aperitivo and Cinema

CineFriends is the monthly event where you can discover the best of Italian culture through the big screen!

This Friday we're going to watch the movie IL POSTINO: THE POSTMAN, a 1994 Italian film directed by Michael Radford and starring Philippe Noiret, Massimo Troisi and Maria Grazia Cucinotta. The film tells a fictional story in which the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda forms a relationship with a simple postman who learns to love poetry. Il Postino was shot on the amazing islands of Procida and Salina, and received five nominations and one Academy Award.

It will be shown in Italian with English subtitles

At 7.45pm:

We're offering an Aperitivo in the Cineclub Detour with the chance to socialize and network while mingling with an international crowd.

At 9pm:

How much?

• Film + 1 glass of organic wine + 2016 DETOUR membership card: 10€.
• Film + 1 glass of organic wine: 7€ (for people with 2016 DETOUR membership card).
• free buffet

Detour is a cineclub not a restaurant so please don't expect to receive lobsters and caviar ;-)

Where?

The Cineclub Detour in via Urbana 107, 'Monti' neighborhood close to Cavour metro stop. The Cineclub Detour is the result of the passion for cinema of a group of university students who managed to develop this project. It is more like a cosy gathering place than the usual screening hall
