The House

This very comfortable 60mq apartment, perfect for 3 people, is located in the south part of Rome close to EUR, a modern and important quarter of the city. It's why it's an ideal short term accommodation for work, study or even inexpensive tourism stays. Anyway, the center is easily reachable in about half an hour using public transport.

 

The apartment is full of light and is made up of a living room with a cooking area, one bathroom with a tub, one double room, one small study room with a single bed and a livable balcony.

 

It is fit for disable people, since a large lift starts from the garage, where a private car place is available.

 

It is fully furnished and equipped, also with independent heating, air conditioning, telephone, DSL connection.

 

The length of stay can range from one week to six months.

 

The neighbourhood

The apartment is located in a residential, very quiet area, close to an important hospital specialized in rehabilitation and to a good shopping center. In EUR, also quite near, you can find many national and international companies (IFAD, Nortel, British Telecom) as well as green areas and museums.

 

Besides, an important archaeological area is easily reachable: Via Appia Antica with its ancient Roman ruins and Cecilia Metella's tomb and the catacombs, fascinating underground labyrinths where persecuted Christians used to hide.

Another more recent, but very touching monument is "Fosse Ardeatine", commemorating the slaughter perpetrated by the Nazis during the Second World War.

 

Both Fiumicino and Ciampino airports are reachable in about half an hour by car.

The outskirts

If you like nature and quietness, you can take a trip to South Rome environs either by car or by bus. The neighbouring villages are rich of local traditions and gastronomic specialties, like the famous "porchetta".

 

The Roman coast is also very near. You need only a twenty minutes car ride to reach Ostia and the charming ruins of Ostia Antica.

Termini Station

Take the Metro line B, direction "Laurentina" and get off at "San Paolo Basilica Station".

From there take bus 769 direction "V.le Londra" and get off at "Calderon de la Barca".

 

Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) International Airport

It takes approximately 30 minutes by car.

With the public service: take the train until Termini Station, then the Metro line B, direction "Laurentina" and get off at "San Paolo Basilica Station".

From there take bus 769 direction "V.le Londra" and get off at "Calderon de la Barca".

If you prefer you can take the bus as well until Termini Station.

Ciampino International Airport

It takes approximately 20 minutes by car.

Take one the bus for Termini Railway Station, then the Metro line B direction "Laurentina" and get off at "San Paolo Basilica Station".

From there take bus 769 direction "V.le Londra" and get off at "Calderon de la Barca".
