DIGITAL TERRESTRIAL TELEVISION, how will it change your life? News

10/28/2009 by Francesco Grisafi Italy

Digital Terrestrial Television (DTTV or DTT) is the technological evolution from analogue terrestrial television, which broadcasts land based signals.
After this date we will need to convert our TV equipment to receive digital signals by connecting it to a digital-to-analogue ‘decoder’ or by ‘satellite’ or ‘broadband’, with the exception of who have a new TV already able to receive digital signals.
What advantages? - Many more channels can fit on the digital transmission, - Interactive services can be provided, - It is easier to obtain the optimum-quality picture, although Analogue requires lower signal strength to get a watchable picture.
Rome will switch off from Analogue to Digital Terrestrial Television on 16 November 2009 and will be the first European capital city to complete the digital switchover.
But wouldn’t it be better if we were the first in TV program QUALITY instead of in digital switchover?
