Hello Parents or Guardians,
I am a recent graduate from the United Kingdom, who has moved to Roma. I am enthusiastic, motivated, flexable and excited to spend time with your children! Spending the previous four summers working abroad at American Summer camps across the States, I have gained widespread experience working with children aged between 8 - 16 years old. Primarily, I am responsible for a group of 12 children, changing each week, over the course of 3 months. We train extensively in child safeguarding, first aid and facilitate fun activities to keep each child learning and entertained. For example, I am a qualified climbing instructor who takes both boys and girls up climbing walls, across high ropes courses and down ziplines! I am trained to challenge each child to allow them to grow, however, remain aware of their comfort and ability levels. Additionally, I am responsible for entertaining children throughout summer, often singing songs, dance performances, telling riddles and having fun; I would struggle to tell you what I have not done at camp.
Back home in England, I am the oldest of four brothers which is where my childcare experience began. We are an active bunch who like to keep fit through playing sport, with the oldest of the three joining myself to work at a summer camp. I also met my American girlfriend at a summer camp and have done long distance before living together in Roma. I have never met someone so focused and natural at childcare, she is incredible with infants and has experience from summer camps, baby nursery's and also three younger siblings! Recently moving to Italy to live together, I am hoping to look after the children of loving families. I can do this individually or would love to help out as a team. I'm slowly learning Italian but am mother tongue English and would love to teach English lessons if possible.
