Joey

Hi! I'm Joey. I come from Ireland but recently I have relocated to Rome. I visited Italy with my family as a child and since then I have always wanted to live here. In my life I have done and experienced many diverse things, from different countries and cultures, to people and situations. I have worked in many different industries including charities, carpentry, gardening, as chef for many years and even a radio DJ. It took me a while to understand my calling in life but last last year, after being around a friend that was doing something similar, I realised that helping and teaching people is what I enjoy most. To this end, I gained an advanced qualification to teach English as a second language and decided to follow my childhood dream of living in Italy. To get here I decided I needed to take the long way. I packed up my bicycle with a tent and some supplies and cycled from Ireland to Italy. 2300km across Europe because I needed to understand and learn the true value of life and my mind and to challenge myself and see what I was capable of. As for myself, I am a very kind and patient person. I always look for the good in people and situations. I am calm and trustworthy and always take my time to understand before reacting blindly to things. I believe in balance, love and kindness in life and have a strong set of principles. On paper this is just all words but if you meet me in person you will understand all this from my face, my actions and my energy. You won't be disappointed!
