Rome is not only the city of the 'Colosseum' and 'Fori Imperiali' but also that of small Rioni and lesser-known neighborhoods. On Sunday we're going to visit the Sallustiano district (the XVII 'rione' of Rome).

Our Tour highlights include:
  • Porta Pia, Michelangelo's last architectural work and famous most of all for the 'breccia', a hole in the wall opened that brought to the unification of Italy in 1870.
  • S. Maria della Vittoria, famous for Bernini's Cornaro Chapel, one of the stages in 'Angels & Demons', the Dan Brown novel. Also important in the history of religious wars that bloodied Europe from XVI to XIX century.
  • S. Maria degli Angeli, another example of Michelangelo architecture, it's famous for a historical sundial.
  • Terme di Diocleziano, fascinating ruins of the largest Roman baths.
This tour will take place in English and will last approximately 2 hours.
