The summer is over....but
Chit-Chat is back!Welcome back everybody!
Well, summer is almost over, autumn is on its way and we say there's no time like the present to start practising your language skills! And luckily for you Chit-Chat is back...and it's bigger and better than ever!For our wonderful current students...we've made some small changes....and for those thinking of coming along for the first time....here's how it works.....
How it works...
- Sign up online for the language group that you would like to join (English, Italian, French or Spanish).
- Come along to N'Importe Quoi libreria cafe on Tuesdays from 8 – you'll have time to say hello and grab a glass of something before dividing into separate language groups.
- Enjoy a glass of wine, beer or a soft drink – with snacks too – in relaxed and friendly groups, practising your language skills by talking about a range of topics...with a mother-tongue chit-chatter there to guide you.
- Around 9.30 finish the group conversations and join us for a yummy buffet, a beer and a chance to meet other chit-chatters and members of friendsinrome.
Where?
In Paris people it’s 'salon de thé', in London 'bookshop coffee' and in Rome we call it
'libreria-caffè'.
N'IMPORTE QUOI is the new space in the heart of the lively and colourful
ex Jewish ghetto, where you can enjoy cocktails, literature, art and music in an atmosphere that rhymes and resonates with people looking to meet new people and open to discovering different cultures through interacting with like minded individuals.
How much?
12 euro (1 hour conversation, 1 drink, snacks and buffet included)
Please do note:
Chit-Chat is a
conversation group....it is a wonderful chance to practice a language that you already have a basic knowledge of. While you will receive
guidance from a mother tongue tutor, it is
not a lesson! Instead, each week our tutors will provide a topic or stimulant such as a newspaper article, around which the conversation can be based.Chit-Chat is a popular event and places are limited, so if you want to participate, you MUST go to the FriendsinRome website- you can do this up to a week before the event - go to the Chit-Chat page and click on the BOOK NOW! button. This has to be done on the website - writing a note on our Facebook page doesn't count! This also makes things much easier for us, so... thanks!
