What are your favorite places in Rome?

Dear Roman friends, I would like to ask you to share with me and other tourists your favorite places to hang out and visit in Rome and around Rome. I am sure you could share many interesting and unique places in Rome and around Rome that are not typical touristic places. I am eager to learn from your suggestions and comments.
